DISTORTION

The Coron Distortion is a Japanese-made guitar effects pedal produced in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It was most commonly sold under the Coron name but also appeared as OEM units branded Grant, Storm, Asama, Memphis, and others. The circuit is closely based on the MXR Distortion+ and uses silicon transistors instead of germanium diodes, delivering a range of distortion tones from mild overdrive to fuzz-like saturation.
