the manualDESCRIPTIONThe DOD FX 15 is a VCA (voltage controlled amplifier) controlled by a foot switch. When the switch is depressed the effect is engaged, when the switch is released signal returns to normal. This is different from the usual switch which alternates between effect and normal when the switch is pressed. There are three controls provided; attack, release, and CUT/BOOST. When the CUT/BOOST is counter-clockwise and the sivitch is pressed the signal will cut up to 37dB. How quickly the cut takes place is determined by the attack control. When the switch is released how quickly the signal returns to normal is set by the release control. When the CUT/BOOST control is in the middle there is unity so nothing happens. When the CUT/BOOST is clockwise there is up to a 15dB boost when the switch is depressed. APPLICATIONSWith the CUT/BOOST in the cut position, volumepedal (steel guitar) effects are possible by pressing the switch, then quickly strumming the desired cord and releasing the foot switch. By quickly pressing and releasing the switch in succession a tremolo can be achieved. With the CUT/BOOST in the boost position you can gat extra punch for solos or accents. When used with a distortion you can get extra distortion with the increased gain.
