FUZZ
This is a variant of an old popular design that I've tweaked a little. I'm using a pair of old style tin can transistors (TO-18 case); a BC108 into a BC109. I played with the bias and ended up with a fixed resistor at Q2c with a nice balance of tone, crunch, and gain. This is a silicon variant, and negative ground so it plays well with other pedals all tied together. This uses a 9 volt battery or an AC adapter with negative center pin, 9v and at least 200mA. This has a more modern sound than the fuzzier tone bender types, although this circuits has been around for about as long.
