Use it as a bypass box to keep those noisy effects out of your signal chain when not in use. In addition, the toggle switch activates a feedback loop that creates all kinds of random sounds depending on what effects are in the loop. Due to the small size, it does not use a battery. It uses a standard Boss-style 9 volt adapter.
