OVERDRIVE
The Duane 69 doesn't change your tone, it simply offers the possibility to use an overdrive sound without having to sacrifice tone. Of course it's less useful in Heavy Metal than in the Blues Rock / Southern Rock genre, where it's important to deliver the feeling the guitar player has put into his playing.
