MINI TYMEXAR (GERMANIUM VERSION)

The Tym mini Tymexar is my take on the classic seventies and eighties distortion as used by SO MANY bands. It's such a great little circuit that pushes into very nice soft clipping and on into very harmonic square wave. The original "script logo" version has germanium clipping diodes like this one here giving a slightly fizzier distortion but keeping the classic tight, sharp clipping these are famous for. Mine uses the essential LM741 IC for authentic tone. It also has an LED, a BOSS style adaptor and true bypass, none of which the original had.
